Loralin Robbins’ two passions in life are solving mysteries and being involved with her grandparents’ old inn. Following her divorce from Elk River PD’s Detective Miles Robbins, her life is void of mysteries. However, after her grandparents’ passing, she inherits the inn.

Just days before the grand opening of the fully refurbished and newly named Robbins Nest Inn, the manager runs off, leaving Loralin wondering what else could go wrong. Luckily, her much younger best friend, Devin Wentworth, has the experience she needs in a manager, and he agrees to move to Elk River -- from Australia, 8900 miles away.

With more than one crisis averted, Loralin enjoys having her best friend close and her dream of opening the inn happening. A day-long Grand Opening celebration leaves her on top of the world. But when someone is murdered in the parking lot the morning after, Loralin’s dream may die too.

Can her ex-husband and the slow-as-molasses Elk River PD get the crime solved and her dream back on track on time? Or will Loralin and a reluctant Devin have to give him a helping hand?

Loralin and Devin return to their sleuthing ways when another murder happens at the Robbin’s Nest Inn. This time it gets personal, and Detective Miles Robbins is definitely going to need the help of his ex-wife and her best friend. They need to clear their daughter's name and bring the real killer to justice.

Phyllis Palmer, the new Labor and Delivery Head Nurse at Natrona County Medical Center, is the most hated woman in Central Wyoming and turns up dead outside the inn's dining room. Everyone who ever crossed paths with her is a suspect. 

Loralin and Devin are faced with helping Miles on what seems like an unsolvable case where suspects range from Loralin and Miles’s daughter to complete strangers from all over the state. Can a murderer ever be caught when the list of suspects is longer than a Wyoming Winter?

Loralin and Devin are headed to his home country of Australia. They look forward to a relaxing vacation spent in Devin's hometown at his family's hotel. Could murder and mayhem possibly follow them 8900 miles across the world?

Loralin comes home from Australia without a fiancé and without a manager for the inn. 

Devin appears again, ready to pick up where they left off, and he brings his orphaned baby cousin with him.

When finding the little girl a new home becomes murderous, Devin and Loralin must work to find a killer.
